After my education in (insurance) economics at the Erasmus University I started my professional career as a management trainee at Fortis (bank and insurance). I ended up running the internet department of VSB Bank as the first Internet Manager in 1998. As soon as I understood that my knowledge and experience was still rather unique in those days I became an self-employed E-commerce consultant, working on a host of interesting projects.

In 2001 I joined The Ticket Enterprise in the position of online marketeer and it was to become my biggest project ever! What makes this business special is that we are not selling tickets, we are selling excitement. I myself am an F1 fan and I have this thing with internet, so this company is the best of both worlds for me. Since my arrival in 2001 we have grown significantly. We are a respected name in the ticketing world with as a highlight our partnership with Ferrari S.P.a. in 2009, for whom we know run the online ticketshop.

The challenge for the next couple of years is to maintain a level of growth by using our online marketing expertise to find and service niche markets in online ticketing. To accomplish this, technology plays a major role. We custom build our back end and front end systems ourselves together with our partner Mugjooz.com in Suriname, South America. I am also (part) founder and manager of this outsourcing company for development and design.

Besides all the hard work I also enjoy spending time with my ladies; my two daughters and my girlfriend. I enjoy taking them out to the playground or go away on trips. My eldest daughter has already been to the races with me! And if I really need to relax, you can find me on Xbox Live (gamertag: TicketMatser).
